Found in all living cells, NAD+ is a molecule that is crucial for key physiological bodily processes to function properly. This molecule is vital to the function of the generators of cells – our mitochondria. It helps convert food to energy, maintain DNA integrity, and protect our bodies against aging and disease. NAD⁺ stands for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. NAD+ works as a shuttle bus, transferring electrons from one molecule to another within cells to carry out all sorts of reactions and processes. With its molecular counterpart, NADH, this vital molecule participates in various metabolic reactions that generate our cell’s energy. Without sufficient NAD+ levels, our cells wouldn’t be able to generate any energy to survive and carry out their functions. Other functions of NAD+ include regulating our circadian rhythm, which controls our body’s sleep/wake cycle. NAD+ precursor supplementation represents a potential therapeutic strategy to slow aging and improving conditions of age-related diseases. Oral supplementation with NAD+ has not been demonstrated to show any benefits in increasing NAD+ levels in the body. However, supplementation with precursors, such as NMN or NR, likely provides these benefits.
Our treatment protocol is to give you 250 mg in 500 ml over 3 hours on days 1,3 & 5. This is done for 2 weeks in a row. The course of therapy is follwed up with a booster of amino acids and b complex vitamins, all included in the $199 price. This is repeated on week 2. Then, for weeks 3 – 6, the 3 hour infusion is given once weekly.

How to prepare for your IV Infusion Therapy
HYDRATE
If you arrive dehydrated, your veins will be smaller and harder to access by our nurses. We want to make sure your veins are as visible and as easy to access as possible to help make accessing a vein easy and painless. With that, drink, drink and drink water before your appointment begins!

EAT A LIGHT SNACK
Eat something, anything! It’s important to keep your blood sugar levels up. Some of the vitamins and minerals in your IV drip could lower your blood sugar and blood pressure. So, if you arrive at your appointment with an empty stomach, your vitamin drip could cause light-headedness afterward, and nobody wants that!
GET MOVING
After a heart-pumping workout, do your arms appear more ‘vascular’ than usual? Here’s why: as we increase our bodily movement, we generate heat; the more heat we generate, the more our vessels dilate. Moving around before your vitamin drip appointment helps ensure a successful IV treatment. Here’s an easy fix: park a few blocks away and walk over to SRQ Med Spa!
AVOID ANTIHISTAMINES & DECONGESTANTS
If you can refrain from antihistamines and decongestants before your IV. Indeed, these meds relieve allergy symptoms and alleviate headaches, but they have a constricting effect on your blood vessels. This can cause you to experience a challenging IV treatment.
